For business customers we offer payment on account. In order to do so, please select "I am a business customer" in the shopping cart at the top of the contact data page to activate the invoice payment.
The invoice/order confirmation will be sent automatically to the email address provided. Due to the server, this can take up to 45 minutes in exceptional cases. If you have not received a message after this time, please also check the spam folder in your mailbox.
It is possible to order without creating a customer account. Once you have placed all the desired products in the shopping cart, you can directly enter your billing address and, if necessary, a different delivery address. If you want to check all your orders afterwards, it is worth creating a customer account before ordering.
We manufacture our products at different production sites. Therefore, it may happen that shipping costs are incurred several times for mixed baskets. Hazardous goods such as spray cans are also always shipped separately.
For resellers we offer neutral shipping (no branded box, no inserts with reference to cadout etc.). Please indicate your wish in the comment field of the shopping cart. We will then ship the order with your return address.
The automatically calculated delivery date is displayed in the shopping cart (see picture) as well as in your invoice. This depends on the ordered quantity, the product and the selected delivery time option. Below you find a list of the expected national delivery times for low quantities (please always check the estimated delivery date in the shopping cart when ordering):
Plastic stencils / adhesive foils / painting stencils: Standard 5-6 business days (Express 2 business days)
3D cuttings / metal stencils (stainless steel): Standard 9-10 business days (Express 5-6 business days)
Burn(-out) stencils: Standard 17 business days (Express 11 business days)
As soon as your shipment is handed over to the shipping company, you will receive a tracking email. To check the current status of your shipment, please click on the tracking number of the shipping service provider under "Track & Trace". Please also check your spam folder in case you do not find a message in your inbox.
We have to charge extra for express productions because these orders have priority in our production planning. This means that the whole production process from file preparation to cutting your product is much more inefficient.
Please keep in mind that these are not stock items like Amazon. Your order will be produced individually just for you. We can only provide the standard prices if we combine your order with many others to achieve the necessary efficiency.
If your shipment was damaged during shipping, please contact us immediately. We can only claim damages directly after receiving the goods from our shipping partners. Please email (info@cadout.de) us pictures of the damaged packaging (from multiple sides) as well as the damaged product..
In our online store you can order from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Shipping to other European countries is not activated (yet). But please feel free to add your project to the shopping cart including your address details and contact us via our inquiry form Anfrageformular. We can then process the order manually for you on account.
Due to customization, the right of withdrawal is excluded for the entire range according to our terms and conditions. We try to produce your order in a timely manner. However, as long as your product has not yet been prepared for production and manufactured, we offer you cancellation as a gesture of goodwill. Please understand that we have to check each individual case (please send an email to info@cadout.de).
As long as your shipment has not been handed over to the shipping company, we can change the shipping address for you. Just send us an email with your change request to info@cadout.de and include the invoice as a reference.
Invoicing and sending you the invoice by email is fully automated by our payment processor PayOne. We have no possibility to adjust the document afterwards. If the billing address should still be adjusted, we must cancel the invoice and manually issue a new one. For this effort we have to charge you 5 € net plus VAT additionally.
We have all our items produced exclusively in Germany. This enables us to ensure high quality as well as short delivery times and transportation routes.
Untreated cardboard can only be used as stencil material for very few motive applications. When paint is applied, the cardboard soaks through and quickly softens. The stencil thus becomes unusable very fast. For this reason, oil-based cardboard is usually used. This is a special cardboard impregnated with kerosene oil and has nothing to do with ordinary cardboard. By using the kerosene oil, a protective layer is formed on the cardboard. This prevents the cardboard from soaking during ink application. Oil cartons therefore do not belong in the recycled paper, but in the remaining waste. This means that the cardboard cannot be recycled. For this reason, we do not see any ecological advantage in using oil cartons.
Instead, we rely on a pure plastic (PET), which has a very high durability. This way you will have your stencil for a very long time (especially if you clean your stencil after use). If you don't need your stencil anymore, you can clean it from paint residues before disposing of it and dispose of the recyclable material in the yellow bag.
P.S. Our PET plastic is "Made in Germany". So you can be sure that the production is done in accordance with all German and European standards..
Acrylic glass is a non-toxic plastic (PMAA) with very high stability and comparatively low weight. Acrylic glass has excellent weather resistance and is very easy to process. It is therefore ideal for use in advertising technology, e.g. for contour-cut logos with a long service life. A longer service life means fewer replacements and therefore it saves resources.
When laser cutting logos, we work in a waste-optimized way to ensure high efficiency. Any unavoidable material waste is returned to the manufacturer. The material is very easy to recycle: PMAA can almost 100% be broken down into its original components and can therefore be reused. Unnecessary waste can therefore be avoided.
The Perspex® brand acrylic glass we use is manufactured 100% in Europe (mainly UK, France). This ensures short transportation routes.
The material manufacturer is continuously working on improving the efficiency of the manufacturing process in order to reduce CO₂ emissions and the consumption of water, energy and raw materials. It is also investing in research on alternative raw materials for new and existing processes.
On all product pages you will find all information about "file preparation" (as well as sample prices and instructions) for the product in the lower section. You can place your order with many different file formats (svg, eps, ai, pdf, jpg, png, psd) via our Konfigurator. However, there are a few details to keep in mind. Take a few minutes before ordering. This way you will get a perfect result.
In general, we offer two mounting options for the 3D cutouts.
You can find detailed info hier.
Which mounting option is selectable for your cut depends on the selected product and the material thickness. For example, we offer thin acrylic glass only self-adhesive, while very deep cuts of PU rigid foam must always be mounted with spacers due to their weight.
In addition, the web width of the elements in your design is crucial. Very filigree elements, for example, cannot be assembled with spacers. More Info.
The need for additional use of mounting glue is given in indoor & outdoor areas with the following environmental influences:
A mounting glue should also be used for large & heavy elements (or heavy panels that are to be glued directly to the wall). Zudem wird dieser bei der Abstandsmontage mit Bolzen benötigt. This is also required for spaced mounting with bolts. Not sure whether you need a mounting glue? Feel free to ask. We recommend our mounting glue UHU Poly Max crystal clear Express: To the supplies
Due to production and mounting, the individual elements of your 3D cut can only have limited filigree. Cuts made from thinner material thicknesses that are glued to the surface allow finer line thicknesses and contour spacing for the graphics. With thicker material thicknesses and distance mounting, everything has to be a bit larger and not as much detail can be shown. After you have uploaded your design in the configurator, you set the dimension of your cut under "size".
You can use the tool "measure details" to measure the lengths and widths of details in your design.
Check in the following planning documents of your desired product which bar widths or minimum distances you have to keep:
When checking the minimum bar widths, we distinguish between two diameters referred to as red and yellow brushes in the planning documents.
Red brush: This diameter must not be fallen short of at any point of the design. If it falls below this limit, we can no longer ensure that the cut will survive production, shipping and assembly undamaged.
Yellow brush: It should be possible to distribute this diameter evenly over the design elements, at least in places. This is important so that there is sufficient adhesive surface or space for mounting the spacers later during installation.
At the bottom of all product pages you will find all information on "File preparation" (as well as sample prices and instructions) for the product. You can place your order with many different file formats (svg, eps, ai, pdf, jpg, png, psd) using our configurator . However, there are a few details to keep in mind. Take a few minutes before ordering. This will give you a perfect result
You can see in detail here what bars are and what you need to keep in mind.
You can find out how to order a text template in any font here.
You can easily order your QR code stencil from us:
1. Create your QR code with the help of a free QR code generator (e.g. https://www.qrcode-monkey.com/de/ :
Enter URL
Create QR code
Download svg file
2. Upload your QR code to our configurator to complete the order.
3. We recommend a motif size of at least 40 x 40 cm so that the resolution is sufficient for scanning even on rough asphalt. Depending on the complexity of the QR code pattern, the price is between 70 - 85 € gross (displayed directly in the configurator).
4. The application must be done with black or white paint, as a high contrast on the surface must be achieved. Gaps on the floor lead to the code no longer being scannable. Therefore, for example, apply it to large paving tiles or directly to the asphalt.
If you would like to add additional letterings/logos to your QR code, please proceed as follows:
1. Create your QR code in the shopping cart and contact us via our chat.
2. Give us as much information as possible about what exactly you would like to add or upload files in the chat.
3. For additional text we ask for the following information: Specify font/font height/position on stencil. We recommend at least 4 cm character height. We will provide you with a customized offer depending on the cost.
Sure! Chalk spray, acrylic paint spray & other supplies can be found here.
If you see this message despite using a computer or tablet, it is most likely for one of the following reasons (if your view is large enough for you, you can click on " continue anyway"):
Make sure that the browser and the tab on which our site is open is displayed in full screen. With Safari (MAC/ IOS), the browser tab must not be visible in the dock, but must be displayed as a real full screen.
The first step is to select your desired product from the 3D cutting or template area. You will then be taken to the product configuration, where you can choose from various material types, colors, thicknesses, fastening options, etc. If you access the configurator via a specific product page, a configuration with this material is already preset. In both cases, you can select your desired settings by clicking on the lower tabs "Product", "Motif" and "Size".
The yellow marker at the bottom of the screen shows you which step you are currently in. In each step, there may be sub-selection points that are displayed above it. As soon as you have made a selection by clicking on a tile, the completed point is colored magenta. You will then be taken to the next selection, which will be colored yellow again. The yellow highlighting means you always know where you are.
If you want to correct a selection, you can click directly on the relevant tab. The other selection points that have already been set are retained. You can therefore adjust the navigation without losing any information.
If you need more information on selection fields, simply click on the yellow info-i.
Of course! If you are still unsure about your graphic or you need some help creating it, please get in touch. You can contact us via our chat (bottom right on the website) or pick up the phone (030/28042313). Small details can usually be clarified quickly.
We can generally offer you the best prices if you place your order via our configurator. Of course, your project may have special requirements or you may have a special implementation request. Please send us a message using our inquiry form. The more information you can give us, the easier and faster we can provide you with a suitable offer. Please also attach graphic/logo files that you may not be able to open yourself (ai, eps, svg). This is the best way for us to work.
We offer 2 different product types that provide you with numerous options:
Stencils: Stencils are a tool that you can use to impressively highlight your design on different surfaces. The different stencil types have advantages and disadvantages depending on the surface and the chosen paint application. Take a look at the individual product pages to find the right stencil for your project. Clicking on the yellow info-i in the configurator will also take you to further information.
3D cut-outs: In contrast to the stencils, your individual motif cut-out is the product here. To bring your logo or lettering to life, you can choose from various materials: metal, acrylic glass or rigid foam? The right material is available for every need and every bugdet to make a real impression! Of course, you can also get contour-cut adhesive foils from us (not really 3D, but also nice).
If your desired mounting is not available for selection, change the material thickness to get more options. With thin material thicknesses, it is often only possible to mount them to the wall using glue. This is because the material is not sufficiently stable for distance mounting.
Due to the different material properties of metals and acrylic glass, for example, not all spacer types can be used with all materials.
We always have the materials offered in the store in stock. For larger special projects, we can of course also obtain other materials or thicknesses etc. and produce them for you. Simply send us your request using our form.
Every time you see this loading symbol in the configurator, various editing processes run in the background with your motif. These are e.g:
Upload & first file check
If necessary, conversion of the file format for optimal further processing
Automatic cropping of your motif
Automatic vectorization of your motif if necessary
Automatic price calculation & technical feasibility check
Tip: When creating several designs in the "Design" area, use our multi file upload (via drag & drop or multiple selection from the Explorer. Keep the Ctrl key pressed and select files). All designs are preloaded in the background so that you can edit them quickly one after the other. This avoids unnecessary waiting times :-)
In order to separate your main motif from the background or to be able to set the motif size exactly later, an automatic cropping of your graphic/template is carried out in step 2 "Crop motif & crop". Click on the magenta-colored "Continue automatically" button. Your motif is automatically recognized and cropped. The automatic cropping function also determines which editing mode (photo/graphic) is most likely to be more suitable for your motif for further editing. In the next step, you can specify your exact motif size and, in the case of templates, the desired frame size around your motif.
If you want to manually crop/select parts of your graphic, select the "crop yourself" option. Before using it, it's best to watch our instruction video, which is linked there.
1. You can use the Cadout configurator to produce a cut-out from any motif, regardless of whether it is a graphic, lettering or a photo. The configurator checks your motif and shows you the producible result in the preview. Just try it out!
2. In general, you can use vector (PDF, EPS, SVG, AI) or grid formats (JPG, PNG, PSD). If available, vector graphics are preferable. TIP: You may not be able to open these on your computer because you do not have the appropriate software. However, they will be displayed correctly in the configurator.
If you only have a grid graphic, the configurator will automatically convert it into a vector graphic. However, make sure that your image has as much resolution as possible (high pixel value). Tip: WhatsApp and other messengers drastically reduce the quality of images when they are sent. Therefore, always use photos directly from the source/camera. If you want to use an image from the Internet, set the search filter for image size to large on google.
3. For your motif, especially for graphics (e.g. logos, word marks, etc.), all areas belonging to the motif should be created as filled color areas. In the case of stencils, all areas that will later allow color to pass through should be filled. If only the contours are created as lines, editing in the configurator will not work!
In addition, templates for stencils should not have a frame (no outer format), only the motif should have. You add the frame or edge of the stencil in the configurator.
The explanation in the following documents is aimed at professionals and anyone who is able to edit and export their graphics in a software program (Illustrator, InDesign, Corel Draw or similar.
You can design lettering in any font for ordering via our configurator as follows:
1. Create the desired lettering in a text editing program such as Microsoft word:
In principle, all fonts are possible. We generally recommend plain fonts (e.g. Arial, Calibri, Helvetica, stencil fonts). These generally result in better legibility and are cheaper to produce.
2. Create the text in the largest possible font size. This initially only serves to create a graphic from the text with as much quality or resolution as possible. You can set the exact size of the text on the template later when editing in the configurator.
Just pay attention to the formatting when creating the text: please create line breaks and alignment as required later on the template.
3. When you have finished your lettering, please create a pdf file from the text file. Save or print the file as a pdf.
4. You can upload the pdf file to our configurator and specify the exact motif size and, in the case of stencils, the border around the motif (we will set the bars for you).
The options in the "Size" step differ between 3D cuts and stencils:
3D Cuts: You have the option to adjust either the desired "Height" or "Width" of your design. Once you've set one value, the other value changes proportionally. We intentionally locked the aspect ratio. Independently adjusting "Height" and "Width" would distort your logo/text.
Stencils: For stencils, in addition to the "Height" and "Width" settings, you also have the "Margin" field available. Here, you determine how large the area around your design that the stencil still covers should be. The margin width is understood to be around your design. Thus, the margin is consistently set around the design. If you need a slightly different stencil size (outer format), please note this in the comment field of the shopping cart.
The following maximum sizes can be ordered directly through the configurator (for inquiries regarding different dimensions, please submit them through our inquiry form):
Stencil Templates (Outer Dimensions)
Painter Stencils: 500 x 300 cm
Plastic Stencils: 400 x 118 cm
Metal Stencils: 289 x 116 cm (Cutting Stencils: 118 x 90 cm)
3D Cutouts (Design Size)
Adhesive Films: 450 x 230 cm
Acrylic Glass: 500 x 300 cm
Metal: 500 x 300 cm
Aluminum Composite: 500 x 300 cm
Hard Foam: 500 x 300 cm
Please note that divisions may need to be made for large dimensions (see also FAQ "production-related division/multiplicity"). If this is the case, you will receive a notification in step 4 of the configurator. Feel free to contact us by phone (030/28042353) or chat if you are unsure about the division.
The note is displayed in the configurator if, for example, very delicate, large elements are included. These would be extremely susceptible to breakage during assembly. Therefore, the elements are cut into several parts during laser cutting, as shown in the example. During assembly, the elements can be neatly joined together. The cuts are hardly visible and the result is a harmonious appearance after assembly. The notice will also appear if your design contains oversized items that cannot be shipped without expensive shipping. Here too we make a division. If you have any questions about this, please contact us by phone or via our chat.
We deliberately allow large motif sizes for our stencils. However, stencils may be split for the following reasons:
The maximum processing area of our laser and plotter is exceeded
Painting stencils are almost impossible to use in meter-long formats
Cheap, effective shipping is no longer possible
We use so-called registration marks on painting stencils to enable you to easily put the stencil parts together (you can find details in our instructions). You can simply join plastic and metal stencils together with tape before use.
Every design is different. Our configurator analyzes your individual graphic and automatically calculates a price based on the following factors:
We have calculated prices for the various products using example motifs using the following links. However, these only serve as initial orientation.
This is usually because the parts are too delicate. Depending on the product, there are technical limits that we cannot go below. Sometimes the size is at the limit and parts such as i-dots or similar can be achieved with manual rework. add it back later. Simply put your product in your shopping cart and talk to us via our chat. We will then check this immediately.
Every order is checked for feasibility before we process it. We do not produce orders that would not work in practice. You don't need to be afraid that you will receive a 3D cut that is prone to breakage or a stencil that will break if you look at it the wrong way. In such a case we will contact you. Either we can still implement your motif by making a slight adjustment or we can cancel your order.
